Gaze out at the seashore from your bed pillows in the Master Suite

Sip your morning coffee on the private deck as the sun rises. Zoom in on the whales doing their ballet with the telescope. Soak in the 2-person bath or stand forever in the wet room shower. Enjoy a nightcap with your own private fire pit to celebrate the end of the day.

“This room is simply the most romantic couples getaway on the Coffs Coast.”

The master bathroom ensuite, also in limestone, has a two-person bath and wet room spa shower, equipped with luxury brass fittings and a heated towel rail that is turned on with a control that is next to the bed.

A magical place from another time!

“My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and while the other rooms in this home are lovely, we never felt compelled to leave the Master Suite. It has everything - and then there are the beach views! ”

— J.A.

I’ve never slept with down pillows before!

“The pillows were like marshmallows. The linens were soft and cool. The details of this room are impeccable. I cannot wait to return! Thank you for a wonderful night’s sleep!”

— L.K.

I’m installing a bedside button for a heated towel rail at home!

“Imagine waking up and wanting a warm bath towel, but also wanting a bit more sleep while it warms up. This bedside feature was just the best treat. I must do this at home!”

Mum and Dad loved it!

“We do a family reunion every year, and this house was a perfect fit for it. Mum and Dad enjoyed the Coral Room the most as it gave them a place to retreat from all the hustle and bustle happening on the other side of the house! Thank you so much for taking care of my parents!”

— P.R.

Large and Luxe!

“Friendscation holidays are always fun. But deciding on which couple will sleep where is never an enjoyable process. The Coral room is such a peaceful spot that we never felt like our best friends in the master upstairs had it any better!”

— A.A.

Tucked away and private!

“My wife loves beach holidays, but I can never sleep well with the sound of the waves crashing just outside. The Coral room was finally our perfect solution. Well away from the waves on the other side of the house I slept like a baby while sleeping next to my happy wife! We will be back!”

I’m 49 years old, and this room is DOPE!

“My girlfriend and I were invited along by a friend to holiday with their family - I was passing by for a few days, and this room helped me connect with the fun parts of my life I’d forgotten. The surf outback was inspiring; I only wish I’d brought my board. What a great quick vacation. Thank you!”

— C.C.

I wish my teenagers didn’t love it so much!

“I never saw my kids, they were either at the beach or tucked away in this room on their phones. On second thought - I loved it! I had the beach holiday I’ve been wanting for years - Mine!”

— A.P.

Inspired!

“As a want-to-be home interior decorator, I would never take this risk. But what a payoff. The wall of magazine covers takes what must have been an ordinary room in the middle of the home and makes it one of the best rooms in the house! Bravo!”

A Bed Room for Pirates

Ahoy mates!

This room is inspired by our very own ship wreck. While the decor is young and playful it is by no means a room that is limited to the kids! It’s filled with all the things a group of pirates (or Peter Pans) of any age would need to enjoy a holiday.

Learn more about our very own shipwreck on the beach by visiting the MuSEAum!

The 310-ton timber barquentine Buster wrecked ashore on March 8, 1893 and is down the beach from Barellen.

Just imagine your kids inventing their own Peter Pan scenarios while you relax in the sunshine! Go on, order your summers worth of outfits right now!

But we’ll get to that in a second!

This Room has Gone to the Birds!

Nest here for a while.

We are blessed in the Coffs Coast area by some of the most beautiful birds in the world. And knowing that the pirates next door will always need their parrots to keep them in line, we were inspired to balance out the ship! Probably the most colourful room in the house, the Bird Room is illuminated by bird lamps of all kinds and even a nest that hangs from the ceiling! Thankfully these birds won’t wake you up at dawn, though we can’t speak for the black cockatoos flying around outside! Learn more about what birds are outside at by visiting the Coffs Coast Bird watching page.

These bunks are strong as!

“I have never seen anything like these bunks in Australia; they are perfect for kids, but the bed frames are easily strong enough to host four cozy adults! Where did these beds come from?”

— D.D.

My children finally love a holiday house!

“So many homes we’ve rented in the past are spartan and bare. It’s nice to see hosts that fill a room for kids with artwork and sculpture; not to mention nice linens. Clearly, the owners of this house have a lot of fun and so did our family - the boys cannot wait to return and finish reading Moby Dick - pages from a vintage edition that lined their bathroom walls. Thank you for a fantastic stay! ”

— R.D.

A perfect retreat for the kids!

“My girls just loved the bird room. Finally, a holiday house that treats my entire family with extra special care.”

— C.S.

Working “from home” was never this nice.

“Far enough away from the events unfolding below to focus, but just close enough to know what’s going on. This room is perched over the lower deck and while I hate to say how much time I really spent here - I didn’t for a minute feel like I missed out on my holiday with the family. Thank you for helping me keep my worlds in balance.”

— A.J.

What a waste of a room!

“I never used it - happily. Okay Ok, I did use it to play and set the Sonos music. Don’t rely on the WiFi to stream your music in - instead, download your music to your device before you arrive and then play it thru the Sonos app.”

— P.K.

The bed works in a pinch.

“Let’s face it, it’s a sofa bed, a week here would kill anyone’s back, but it’s a perfect set up for a friend passing thru for a few days, and no one complains with that view and the kangaroos in the backyard.”

—D.P.
